Born and raised in New Jersey, Isa graduated cum laude from Harvard University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Anthropology with a focus on Latin American Studies. She is a native Spanish and English speaker and fluent in French. She has 8 years of experience tutoring students ranging from 11 - 40 years of age, in subjects ranging from math, to ESL, to dance. While at Harvard, she volunteered with CityStep, an organization teaching dance to middle schoolers in Cambridge public schools, led pre-orientation backpacking trips, and served as president of her a cappella group. Recently, Isa completed a year of service with AmeriCorps, assisting Latinx immigrants in Brooklyn with applying for public benefits. In the future, she plans on pursuing a law degree in order to practice public interest law. In the meantime, she has been shooting and editing a documentary film on her family’s immigration from Cuba, learning to crochet, and attempting to improve her cooking. She is absolutely thrilled to continue her tutoring career with A-List, and excited to work with students on a wide range of subjects.
