Jacob Fjeldheim graduated early from the University of Florida, cum laude, with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Physics. He moved to New York to pursue music composition and orchestration, and received an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He displays a never-ending passion for teaching: both music and standardized testing; he’s taught music at several middle and high schools, both private and public, throughout New York City and central Florida. His SAT, ACT, and GRE scores fell comfortably in the 99th percentile and he graduated salutatorian from a prestigious public high school. In addition to imbuing teenagers with knowledge, he continues to work as an arranger, pianist, and cellist in and around the city, while his songs explore inner turmoil, human truths, and sandwiches.
