College Visits: NYU & Fordham

A-List’s Director of Advising, Natasha de Sherbinin, recently visited New York University and Fordham University in New York. Check out some information about the schools below!

New York University

  • 23,492 undergraduate students
  • 66% acceptance rate
  • 3.7 average GPA
  • 1350-1530 SAT middle 50%
  • 30-34 ACT middle 50%

This large urban university is a good fit for students who loves the idea of having New York City as their campus. It doesn’t get much more urban than this! NYU students are residents of the city as much as they are students at NYU. NYU also has the highest number of International Students in America and sends more students abroad than any other American university. With campuses in New York City, Shanghai, and Abu Dhabi, NYU is a global university with many opportunities to study abroad and develop a global perspective.

Fordham University

  • 9,599 undergraduate students
  • 46% acceptance rate
  • 3.65 average GPA
  • 1310-1450 SAT middle 50%
  • 29-33 ACT middle 50%

Fordham offers a studious and close-knit community feel. The Jesuit university is ideal for students who want a traditional college campus and experience, but a major city like New York easily accessible. Academically, Fordham’s extensive core curriculum gives students a feel for a variety of subject matters and helps steer them toward the discipline they wish to pursue further.
