Scott co-founded A-List Education with a mission of leveling the playing field for all students. Growing from just a handful of students in 2005, A-List now serves more than 80,000 students across the US and around the world. The company works with hundreds of high schools and nonprofit organizations, including KIPP, the Harlem Children’s Zone, the Fulbright Commission, and the NYC Dept of Ed – providing everything from professional development and direct instruction to sophisticated assessment platforms and curriculum alignment. Scott has more than 12,000 hours of instructional experience, working with thousands of students and teachers to improve post-secondary outcomes. These experiences left him with a deep appreciation for education not just as what traditionally happens in the four walls of a classroom but as set of skills necessary to succeed in the wider world.
In 2018, Scott took his experiences supporting young people trying to reach their potential and pivoted to field of mental health, serving as the COO of a rapidly expanding behavioral health group, which led to 1000% growth in his last year. Soon after, he founded Mental Health Partnership (MHP) and as CEO now manages behavioral health practices serving more than 2,000 clients monthly, focus on anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other pressing issues.
He continues to serve on the board of A-List Education, and drives social impact work in his nonprofit leadership roles with International Sports and Music Project, Little Wish Foundation, and the Dr. Richard Barnett Foundation.
I think A-List is a great organization. My tutor was positive and tailored the material to my learning style. She made learning each subject fun and presented new topics in an engaging fashion. Thank you so much to A-List for helping me achieve my personal best!
A-List gave me more than just practice tests and test-taking tips, though these were invaluable. My tutor connected with me on a personal level and helped me understand that I was capable of getting the score I wanted. Suddenly, I viewed my test-taking experience as a challenge, not a burden. I walked into my ACT with the confidence that I knew exactly how to conquer every aspect of the test.”
Mother of Phoebe C.
Both my children had an amazing experience with A-List! Steadily, she worked hard to improve her test scores. Taking the practice tests allowed her to gain confidence and learn to manage her time during the tests. Then a college advisor helped her write her college essays. She was an amazing guide who helped Phoebe focus and streamline her supplements and essays. Now she will be attending her dream college, Rice University, School of Architecture!
