Mark Blaweiss has worked in the fields of higher education and college/university advising for over 30 years. He has held leadership roles at numerous colleges and universities including serving as the Dean of Freshmen at Drexel University and the Dean of Students at New College of Florida and the University of South Florida at Sarasota/Manatee. Since 2005, Mark has used his experience and education to assist students and families through the college search and selection process with a particular focus on student-athletes.
Mark served as the Director of College and University Placement and NCAA Compliance Education at the IMG Academy from 2008-2017 building an elite and comprehensive university placement program for their students representing 80 different nations and training in tennis, golf, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, football, track and field, and baseball. Under Mark’s leadership, the Academy became the first US high school to have a program dedicated to educating students, parents, and coaches on the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Mark was invited to present at the NCAA’s annual rules conference. Mark left to return full-time to his private practice and grew his clientele to include students who compete in swimming/diving, equestrian, fencing, volleyball, beach volleyball, skiing, and rowing.
Mark has helped hundreds of students reach their goal of studying and competing at the university level. Over 80% of Mark’s clients have been accepted at their first-choice school and attend some of the best schools in the USA and Canada.
Mark received his Master of Education degree from the University of Virginia.
