FREE College Advising Workshops: What ALL College-Bound Students & Parents Should Know

One of A-List’s expert college advisors, Michael Binder of Your College Navigator, will be  hosting a series of helpful college planning workshops at local libraries around Long Island!

The FREE workshops will discuss the rules of the college admissions game. It is one thing to be a good or even a great high school student, but it’s another to be an outstanding college candidate – especially to the more competitive colleges. Additionally, the availability and amounts of scholarships and financial aid has never been more important. In these approximately 1.5 hour sessions, packed with invaluable information, parents and high school sophomores, juniors and seniors will learn how to maximize their admissions and scholarship potential.

Workshop topics to be covered include:

  • How exactly to determine your “best-fit” colleges
  • How to determine what each college really considers when making their acceptance decisions
  • Ways students can differentiate themselves from others with similar grades, test scores, interests and aspirations
  • The keys to maximizing your scholarship and financial-aid opportunities
